Volunteers at The Felix Project get good food to good causes, helping to rescue, cook and deliver surplus food for Londoners facing food poverty.
After you sign up, you can pick and choose when you'd like to volunteer & how often. Most volunteering with The Felix Project will last 4 hours.
You can choose to get involved in a range of tasks - from sorting food, to admin work, cooking in our kitchen, or driving our green Felix vans.
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED URGENTLY
Learn MoreThe Felix Project operates throughout London, so pick the location most convenient for you.
You need to be 16 years or older in order to volunteer with us.
You need to be fairly active to be a Felix volunteer. Roles involve lifting crates of food and boxes can weigh up to 11kg.
Only Felix volunteer drivers need a valid licence. Felix drivers must be over 21 years old and have been driving for over 1 year, with no more than 5 points on their licence.
All volunteers must be over 16 and must sign up individually. Once you've completed your training, you may be able to book onto a shift at the same time as your friend or family member. But we have no capacity for official 'group' bookings.
The times of our volunteering shifts differ between the different roles and locations. Typically, most volunteering shifts last for a few hours and run during working hours in the mornings and afternoons. We also have some evening and weekend shifts available.
That is entirely up to you. We do not request a minimum or maximum commitment from our volunteers.
Volunteering with Felix is very flexible - once you've completed your first shift, you will be able to book any available sessions that suit you.
To book a volunteering shift, you must complete your volunteer intro session and training. Start by choosing your preferred location to volunteer from and then book an info session to learn more about available roles.
The Felix Project has operations throughout London, in Park Royal, Enfield, Deptford, Poplar, and Central London. To become a volunteer, pick your preferred location to attend an info session for more details.
You never know who could be on a Felix volunteering shift! We’re so grateful that the likes of Olivia Coleman, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Reece James (and tons more!) have joined the fight against hunger and food waste.
